Recently, Eric wrote a price on how time travel shouldn't be used in movies. That claim caused me to think a bit on time travel. While doing so I harkened back to a show I saw on PBS station about quantum physics. I also thought about how one of the claims as to why time travel would be impossible is that we don't see any tourists from the future. Those ideas I believe are simple excuses to not work on the science of time travel.
To begin with, a theory about quantum physics should be stated. It is the theory that every choice creates a new dimension where that choice was made while another one is made where a different choice was made. For example, say that I was making a sandwich. I have the choice to make it a peanut- butter sandwich or a ham sandwich. I choose to make it a peanut butter sandwich, but, I just created a seperate universe where I made a ham sandwich, and even a universe where I didn't make a sandwich at all. That is the multiple universe theory.
Now then, if a person were to travel back in time, that would potentially cause ripples that would forever change history. This has been the plot of most all movies on time travel. However, I believe that when a person travels back in time, they open up a new universe where they exist at that time period. Following this theory of mine, it is entirely possible that time travel is possible. When a person travels back in time, he not only travels back, but also into a new dimension. I would like for all you who read this to consider this possiblity of time travel and respond with your ideas on this matter.
